Archanaa Manavalan is an Artist based in India.

From being an avid painter in her days at school to dropping the practice entirely for a good 10 years to resurrecting the artist in her, Archanaa Manavalan has come a long way.
Life got her busy with an education in Engineering with Masters in Tech and career in teaching which she soon realized wasn’t for her. But the paint brush  wasn’t picked up until after many a travel and one intense surreal spiritual retreat in 2012. Since then, she has kept at it, constantly sharpening her skills, and building a life which constantly supports her creativity like any true self-taught artist.

Every painting created by her has a tendency to invoke a subjective sense of introspection for the viewer.

She works mainly with Watercolours, Archival Ink, Acrylic. Her body of work involves vivid colours and golds. She practices her craft full-time from her home studio.

​

Her inspiration is mostly drawn Spiritual philosophy, intricacies of the subconscious mind and the mental reflections of the beauty in everyday life. 

The great spiritual writer Thomas Merton once said " Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time." She hopes of invoking a similar experiences in the viewer with her work.
